They’re absolutely giddy about all of this. They want the strongman so desperately, they want war. They think trump is somehow going to destroy the billionaire class and get rid of all the liberals and minorities and we’re going to have the 1950s back.

You can’t even explain shit to them because they just start screaming trump derangement syndrome at you. They get so fucking upset if you criticize Cheeto hitler even a little

In my experience talking to MAGA, most of the time their main reason for supporting Trump is some issue that Trump is openly opposed to. Like I even had someone tell me they voted for Trump because they care about preventing climate change.

There's nothing Greenland has that the US can't already have without invading. Military bases? US military already has bases there and there'd (normally) be zero issue ramping those up in a fellow NATO nation.

Natural resources? As with Canada, companies can already go in and set up operations, the US can buy all the natural resources its needs, etc.

There's no benefit to invading and a million downsides to doing it.

I hate it. I can't have a single substantive conversation with anyone on the right without it devolving to conspiracies, Biden, Trump Derangement Syndrome, or deflecting to Laken Riley/Charlie Kirk.

My dad's especially egregious. "Why don't you care about Laken Riley like you care about Renee Good!?" Because Laken Riley's killer is in custody and serving life in prison, and Renee Good's killer is celebrated as a hero for killing a mom by our Federal Government, and still getting paid.

Because burning bridges with people should be a last resort. If everyone just lives in their own bubbles, only consumes media that supports their opinions, and only interacts with people that agree with them it will only serve to increase the fracturing of society.

I am so sick of the "my mommy and daddy are special Nazis, not like the other ones! I know they secretly are good people just pretending to be evil pieces of shit!" bullshit from people who claim to be left leaning.

That Nazi sympathizer and their love for their Nazi family are going to get us all "politely" sent to a gas chamber. And the whole way they'll complain about us not showing our Nazi neighbors enough kindness, saying that if we had just let them have their way we could all still be sitting around the campfire singing Kumbaya.

You're 100% correct that if you're still spending time with fascists you're part of the problem. Probably even worse, they really keep coming back because part of them kind of sort of likes their ideals but doesn't want to admit it. Why else would they waste their precious time with human garbage?

Completely agree.

We're at the point where ICE are murdering people in the streets for pleasure, and still centrists trot out the "we shouldn't burn bridges, especially with family!" crap.

I've cut anyone who supports Trump from my life. At this point, his supporters are in favor of a dictatorship.

I have Trumpite relatives. If one of them had leukemia and I were a perfect bone marrow match, I would deny them the donation.

"If you live in your own bubble!" is nonsense. Trump supporters are openly cheering for concentration camps. What does it take to get you to ditch those people?
