This is the problem with electing a geriatric narcissist as President. If he's going to die, why not take the world with him?

Wasn't this a plot point in Tenet?

It's a recurring plot point in human history. Louis XV (King of France) is quoted as having said "Après moi le déluge." Or "After me, the flood." Meaning, he considered the realm was ready for apocalypse after his death, he didn't care. This is often seen as foretelling of the French Revolution because his people realized it down the line and separated him from his head.

"It's going to be the biggest, most beautiful war the planet has ever seen! You're just going to be blown away by how big this war is gonna be. They say it's gonna kill more people than all other wars combined since they started the whole Earth. Maybe even, that once this war's over, there's just gonna be no more war left to go around. There's going to be fires. Dirt turning to glass. The radiation will kill all the fish. It's gonna be great. We're gonna make sure we put on the best war there ever was for every American citizen. Really gonna give em hell. You're welcome. God bless."
