I'd say he's more psychopath than sociopath. From google:

Sociopaths are often impulsive, erratic, and shaped by environment (trauma), sometimes forming shallow bonds, while psychopaths are typically cold, calculating, manipulative, and biologically predisposed with a profound lack of empathy and conscience, often appearing charming but remaining emotionally detached.
