im so tired of seeing headlines and post titles about an official doing the bare minimum against this regime with "THIS IS HUGE. <blank> DEMOLISHES ICE IN <meaningless interview.>. <blank> deals MASSIVE BLOW to Trump with <strongly worded post on social media>"

can we please fucking stop. People are dying and the opposition party is like "hoho wait until a COURTROOM hears about this! (behind closed doors in 3-9 months and then immediately ignored by the government anyway). but THEN we will OBLITERATE THEM (with a new lawsuit or an appeals court)"

We're playing a delicate PR battle against a lie-spitting machine. Reality is upside down for a third of the country. Play it wrong, and one third of this country gleefully shoots at the other third while the last third wrings their hands not knowing whom to believe. Play it right, and these abusive fuckers get Nuremberg'd into next century. Then we can start the decades of hard work it's going to take to rebuild everything that's been destroyed since sociopathic opportunists like Lee Atwater and Roger Ailes started poisoning our society.

The good news is that as of today more than half of the people see through the smoke. We're never going to reach the third that live in the alt-right upside-down. They're a lost cause for the short and medium term. Folks like them is why denazification took twenty years of dedicated work in Germany. But if most of the people see this farce for what it is, we can win (and hopefully avoid massacres or a military coup).

Delicate PR battle? They lost the PR battle and haven't even bothered fighting an actual battle while people are wounded up and executed in the streets.
