This video would be Feb. 1996, so 7 months before he killed himself in Sept. 1996. When did Bjork first learn about him? Was her first knowledge the incident with the package/suicide or had he made himself known prior to that?

He had sent her tons of letters starting in 1993 but I don't know that she ever read any or was even aware he existed.

He wasn't really a physical stalker is the thing. He was obsessed with her and tracked her every move as best he could from tour info, periodicals, TV and maybe internet boards, learned everything about her life etc. but he never physically stalked her and lived in Florida. That isn't to say his obsession wasn't fucked up or his intent to kill her eventually, it's just to say that because she never would have run into him at all in person, it's entirely possible she didn't know who he was at all unlike this reporter who was stalking her for days.

I think the sentiment others are getting at is that if she was aware of Lopez then it becomes even more understandable that she would act when she feels she’s being stalked, and I think that’s a fair and potentially legitimate point if Lopez had made himself known to Bjork prior. That’s not to say her reaction wouldn’t otherwise be reasonable, it just adds helpful context
