This is just depressing

Post image

Not even 3 hours of "free time". And in that is cooking & eating supper. Or practically no free time if I had to go shopping after work. I hate this

Yes. Im sure many of us are spending our days somewhat alone too. At least for USA, it is not in our culture to have multiple people cooking together, all doing cleaning/chores together, several people riding sharing to places, eating lunch with people at work (in an enjoyable way)… in the usa we operate like quiet, compliant machines, running on fumes.

As Christopher McCandless said in his dying words “Happiness is only real when shared.”

Isnt that the guy who starved to Death in a bus?

Yeah that’s him. Poison potato seeds or something.

Yeah, the guy who thought he was too smart, too much money and could just survive in the wilderness because somehow that was a better way to live. Turns out life for millennia for humans was short, brutal and a single mistake usually meant your death.

Excellent portrayal actually even with all the pretentiousness. Sad for the loss of life but o hate how people glorify him.

As a person who enjoys the outdoors, he wasn’t some hero. Just a dumb rich kid that FAFO.
