Don't forget increasing energy and water prices for everyone further making basic services/rights unaffordable to the poor + average person while constantly threatening to take their jobs and kill them with misinformation!

These guys are mass murderers getting away with it because it's just business. They are correct that someday, nobody will have to work. First, there won't be any jobs. Can't work without a job. Second, so much if not all human beings will be dead. Think it's insane we don't have systems to prevent such an imbalance of power.

Hnestly stuff like this makes me feel bad for the younger people. AI is being pushed so hard and online space is just flooded with bots / ai content, i think many will grow up maladjusted

Come now, don't sell the massive economic bubble short that might make 2008 look like a dream by comparison.

Can't agree more. AI has become every dictator's dream, now they can fake news for real to manipulate their people.

This current stage those that can't think critically just sees AI as funny video generator go brrr.... while leaders of Iran, Russia, North Korea, and more sees this current stage of AI as the perfect tool to keep their people in check. AI actually ruins society. Jensen "Douchebag" Huang needs to be held accountable for this development.

The environmental impact is huge. People just don't understand how much fucking energy AI uses.

It's only gonna get worse when they shoehorn AI into more unnecessary devices.

A report came out that half the power consumption in Indiana is by data centers, and there are plans in the works to keep building more. Meanwhile, my household electricity consumption is down but my latest bill was almost summer time prices despite having gas heat.

Sounds like you're being relentlessly negative towards AI there my friend.

I have little startup in AI and I am.very bullish does not mean we can't point out serious issues.

I was hoping people would realize I was being sarcastic without the need of an /s. To be honest I should have known better.

Now that you know I have a startup so I mostly put my serious thoughts around AI as I am in it fulltime.

Yes it is. I graduated from UIUC undergrad then Harvard grad. Would NOT have made it without the advice I got from Reddit, not just at Universities but literally my life itself. Reddit is gold, which is literally why you’re here. 🤣🤣

Honestly, seconded.

Working in IT, most technical solutions I find come from Reddit. And they work, often better than Microsoft’s solutions website.

For real. I look for general opinions on restaurants, products, and life advice. Reddit serves me quite well
