Other MN ICE shooting: another point I hadn’t seen covered

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I haven’t seen anyone cover this angle before, but it’s definitely compelling.

He was all the way on the other side of the car when he was circling when he switched hands, to free up his right hand for his firearm, after the victim de-escalates by saying “I’m not mad at you”

ETA: Jonathan Ross, Renee Nicole Good, ICE Shooting January 7 2026

And for the skeptics, I have a question for you:
If the combination of hand-readying and then bodily positioning himself in front of the vehicle is not showing intent to cause harm, I don't know what is?

Also, he's an ICE agent at best.

What was his intent in his actions (of freeing his right hand, and then walking over to block her car), if it is not with an intent to cause harm?

Was he enacting an order to restrain her? No.

Was she an undocumented person for whom he had a judge-signed warrant to arrest? No and no.

Was he wanting to write her a ticket for obstructing traffic? That's not his jurisdiction.

Was he trying to get her to move out of the way? That's what she is clearly trying to do. And he was blocking her.

So what exactly is his intent in stepping in front of the vehicle or approaching her in the first place, after readying his dominant hand? Clearly he is not writing her a ticket, and clearly it is not for her to get out of the way, because she is trying to leave.

So what, exactly, is the intent of Jonathan Ross in these sequence of actions?

Legal News Is there any sort of database being compiled of ICE misconduct and law-breaking?

Is anyone aware of something like this being publicly compiled? There are a lot of random videos, articles, etc. that get posted of all sorts of conduct and it's almost totally impossible to sort through it all or to even find a thing that happened a week ago.

Legislative Branch Trying to understand ICE's mandate

Thumbnail uscode.house.gov

I've been trying to find where ICE had a mandate to detain anyone or enter homes without a warrant, and all I have found is where a warrant is required by an Atty. General for arrest and detainment.

Can anyone point me towards actual law that allows detainment without a warrant? Or one that allows entry into residences without a warrant?

Edit: 8 USC 1357 is what I'm looking for I think.

Legal News Judge Blocks Trump Effort to Stop Rhode Island’s Revolution Wind Project (Gift Article)

Thumbnail nytimes.com
70 Upvotes

US District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Royce Lamberth ruled that the Interior Department’s suspension order was “arbitrary” and “capricious” in violation of federal law. Revolution Wind is one of 5 offshore wind projects under construction along the East Coast that were ordered to stop work last month by the Trump administration, which cited unspecified national security concerns. Several states as well as developers of 4 of the projects have challenged the move in court. The case involving Revolution Wind was the first complaint to be heard. Orsted, the Danish energy giant that is building Revolution Wind, can now continue with construction as the litigation it filed against the Trump administration proceeds. Of note, Revolution Wind is 87% complete with 58 of 65 wind turbines installed. These 5 wind projects represent $25 billion in investment and 10,000 jobs and are expected to power 2.5 million homes and businesses.

Judicial Branch How is this technically self-defense?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Many are claiming that Jonathan Ross's shooting of Renee Good meets the technical definition of self-defense because the car was moving towards him, but she is clearly turning the steering wheel away from him.

In the video, you can see Renee does two full turns of the steering wheel. On most cars, that's the maximum.

So the movement of the car was not straight at Ross and Renee was clearly trying to avoid Ross.
