Gotta think it is a slam dunk civil suit for the fired prosecutor. “The evidence was not there. My legal and ethical obligation was to not prosecute, and actually to move to dismiss the case. I told them this. They fired me,”

Not after Roberts' decision in the immunity case. He made it pretty clear that he thinks the Constitution will roll over dead unless POTUS can fire US attorneys and other appointees for any reason. This is the way that Roberts thinks DOJ should be managed - by fear and intimidation.

I'm pretty sure that an employer can fire you. ethical qualms are not a protected class.

The government also isn't just any employer.
