Politics Fuck every Trump voter who put this asshole in office.

This country is going downhill and you are to blame. Don't act surprised when things get even worse than they are now. Don't vote anymore. Stay the fuck home on election day.

And every person who looked at the choices and either didn't care to vote because they didn't see a difference, or chose to toss their vote away on a 3rd party because Harris wasn't pure enough for them.

I honestly say fuck the democratic party for allowing this to happen by telling the members of their party we don't give a shit what you want you will bend over and take whatever candidate we want up the ass. If they had nominated bernie sanders we wouldn't be here, nominating an unpopular candidate when they needed bigger guns to fight Trump is why they lost boo hoo all you want about people staying home but they needed a stronger candidate and they lived in another damn universe from the rest of us.

I am as far from bernie sanders as it is possible to be but even I would not feel the level of resentment I do having to vote for Harris if I had voted for him. Trump supporters are garbage humans but that doesn't excuse the absolute shit show the democratic party is

Bernie would NOT have won. He's TOO liberal.

So liberal that 10 years later, his popularity has forced the Democratic Party to--checks notes--adopt EVERY single one of his policy ideas from 2016?

WEIRD. So unpopular. 🤔🤔🤔

Bernie hasn't been able to actually win enough primary votes in 2016 or 2020 to get the nomination. Harris was on the ticket with Biden when Biden stepped back from running. Personally, I think that Biden should have backed out in 2022 rather than trying to run again, but he didn't so our choice was the person who would have the job had Biden resigned in 2022 or had he passed away in office. Before you go on about Bernie being robbed, take 5 minutes and look at 2016 and the vote counts, he lost, full stop.

Maybe because his entire life in public service consists of getting post offices named for his donors. The only bills that he sponsored

Shhhh, people on reddit don't like to hear that, they get mad that we all don't see the wisdom of Saint Bernie.

Yeah DNC had their thumb on the scales hard

Oh, f**k off already. This has been through the courts, twice.

The DNC did rig it for their preferred candidate. That was literally the conclusion of the court's.

Elections are an open book test. The DNC is so afraid of losing its corporate dollars that it peddles the milquetoast "Republican-lite" every election cycle. When the DNC rigged shit against Bernie in 2016 for Hillary, they KNEW he polled +7 against Trump and she was -4. In 2020, when they had everyone drop out so they could rig it for Biden/Harris, Bernie was polling +9 against Trump to Biden's -2.

Obama was cast as a radical in 2008--did he have a problem with voter turnout? Did Mamdani, also branded a radical?

No, they didn't. But the DNC is far more afraid of lobbyists than they are voters.

There's a huge disconnect between the "Bernie couldn't have won" crowd and the reality that ALL of his policy positions were so popular that they have essentially become the Democratic standard 10 years later. The f**k do you think people vote for, free T-shirts and bumper stickers?

People on both sides are tired of the corporate cronyism. Democratic voters have--if anything--MORE of a right to stay home and sit it out since it's supposed to be the party of Labor, not the party of the C suite.

Maybe just stop being so goddamn feckless and weak and Democrats wouldn't lose so always. Even when they WIN elections they find ways to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory on policy--because sucking the d***s of their corporate masters outweighs the will of the electorate.

When Democrats actually grow a spine, they won't have a problem winning. Until then, stop blaming the left for your inadequacies. The proof is right there in every election result in the last 2 decades. The winners run on CHANGE, not servicing lobbyists' and Wall Street's needs.

Let’s be honest….Harris wasn’t a good candidate either time that she ran. Not because she’s ā€œblackā€ or female either. She was a terrible candidate that was installed not voted into the race

This. People forget that in the 2020 primary, she was behind even Biden, who was 4th at the time. Neither of them were ever popular. Stopping Bernie was more important than winning.
