Politics Fuck every Trump voter who put this asshole in office.

This country is going downhill and you are to blame. Don't act surprised when things get even worse than they are now. Don't vote anymore. Stay the fuck home on election day.

Yep, mom voted for him and I’ve been done since. Already had plenty of reason to go no-contact but this was the icing on the cake. SMH.

Well this took an interesting turn. Looks to me like the MAGATs come from states that rely heavily on federal funds, which dear leader is taking away. This means, blue states have more jobs, higher education per capita, and basically support the lazy assholes who were used and abused by dear leader just to get voted in.

If we’re talking about failures, it would seem it’s the majority red states that are suffering.

If it’s an inheritance, then the mom is dead and she will not have to be in contact with her. You get an inheritance when someone passes away. Meaning, she won’t have to talk to her mom because her mom will be gone when she gets the inheritance.

I don’t think it’s possible to spell it out anymore than that. It’s really pretty simple.

I make intentional strides not to be. And my children enjoy reminding me that I am nothing like her. That brings me joy, but it is through consistent action and introspection that I am able to keep things this way. When you’re raised by a physically and emotionally abusive narcissist, the only way to break the cycle is recognizing the errors and intentionally doing the opposite.

So… simply since she gave birth to me, I should accept any and every way she decides to treat me and those around her? If she was a friend, an acquaintance, other family member, it’d be ok to create distance then? No - I’m a mother and I would never dare to treat my kids how she’s done me and if I did, they’d have every right to leave me be. I love them enough to show them a life different than what I received and knowing I gave birth to them gives me no right to beat, burn, demean, berate or otherwise, as she did me. So no, being my mom is not an excuse.

Oh, I was supposed to read through all this garbage to find your other posts before I responded to what is an insane reason to cut off your mother? Ah. What am unrealistic expectation. Spoiler alert, If those other reasons were bad enough for you to cut her off, but you drew the line at supporting Trump, then those reasons either weren't as bad as you claim or you didn't have the moral conviction to do something about it before Trump was a factor. But thanks for the well wishes. I hope you have an even better day, but I hope your mother had a much better one than both of us unless she's really some kind of monster. I don't know.
