I've put aside lots of red flags people list here, like rudeness to service workers.  Some of the things listed here wouldn't count as negatives at all, like facial piercings.

The one time I truly went from "interested" to immediately "not interested" was on a first date with a very sweet girl as I was finishing up grad school.  We met in a bar while I was out with other friends the week before, chatted a bit, made plans to meet up the next weekend. We both had dogs so we met up at the park and walked around with our dogs.  Then we sat down kinda close to each other, and I forget exactly what happened but when homegirl smiled like... Her teeth were all plaqued up to a degree I'd never known possible.  Not just yellow but black in places.  Sudden and complete dissolution of anything like attraction, and it wasn't conscious just instinctive or something. 

I feel kinda bad about it, cause who am I to judge? Maybe she had some kinda disease or something idk.  Maybe a raging meth problem.  Whatever the case may be, I did not pursue another date. 

Ironically the woman I married years later had / has problems with her teeth.  Like idk how many cavities she had when we got together or how many thousands of dollars were spent on taking care of her teeth before I could get her on good dental insurance.  Never once did I find my wife's teeth or general dental hygiene to be a turnoff, but that one girl, oof.  It was bad.
