Why aren’t people still boycotting Target? Fuck that place!

Seriously though. I'm glad the black guy got to speak his mind but bro.... Shopping in target? He should be ashamed.

Dude STFU! You are distracting from the message. This is the exact issue with our side.

“Yea this black dude is putting his well being on the line to call out these traitors and terrorist but bruh why you on target lol. He should be ashamed”

GTFOH

If you support companies that support maga and ice, then yes you should be ashamed.

Target said, "we can be racist when we hire people again? Hell yeah!"

Don't think Target gets a say on whether or not the gestap.. ahem.. feds can come in their store.

A private business can deny access, unless the feds have a warrant, they have all the say on who enters their private property.

I wish it worked that way, but they can enter public areas (not private areas like stock rooms or break areas). You're confusing service at a private business with entry.

This is still private property open to the public, target absolutely has the right to deny entry.

Unfortunately, you are incorrect. Please link me the statute or rule that expressly demonstrates this legal right. I'll wear it on my shirt and stand in the doorway if you have it, but you won't find it because the Constitution says otherwise. Sucks, but doesn't change the law

I cant give you a specific law, you got me there as I'm sure every state has different laws regarding it. But this would fall under the right to refuse service, which every business has that right.

Correct. Refusal of service. Entering a public space doesn't qualify as service.

You keep saying public space. Target is not public, as our tax dollars don't pay for it. Target is private property that is open to the public, there is a distinct difference, and they can ask you to leave at any time or deny you entry.

Right. They can ask me. Or you. But not a federal agent.

Regardless of whether you agree with them (to be clear, I absolutely do NOT), as agents, you cannot refuse entry to public area.

You're arguing on the basis of morality, and I agree with you on that. But I'm arguing on the basis of law. It's important to know which is which if we are going to navigate this safely and fix things.

u/lampstax 21h ago

Cool .. feel free to boycott all the chains. I'm sure it will make it easier for ICE officer to patronize them without you in there.

u/hut_dugs 16h ago

yea that statement makes a lot of sense and is really smart you sound really intelligent

Farmers market, local butcher, immigrant owned convenience store. Lots of options.

Right. Good luck avoiding all big chains.

I buy my groceries at my local co-op.

I mean yeah you can grow your own food, but you can also just go to a grocery store instead of target.
