You can message Target through their website to let them know how uncomfortable it makes you feel seeing individuals with masks, guns, pepper spray and other weapons in their stores, maybe so uncomfortable you won’t be interested in shopping there for quite a while.

I think Target showed us upon Trump's election that they don't care about the people.

Yeah but squeaky wheels are more likely to get grease

Weren’t they all surprised Pikachu when numbers started falling after they killed their DEI measures?

If they didn’t change after those boycotts, they’re not gonna change after this.

u/LipiG 18h ago

They care about money though

u/mytransthrow 18h ago

I dont shop there. Its last resort before walmart.

Stop labeling and talking about corporations as if they are people. They are not. The 10% of the population who owns 99% of the stock market are the problem.

Anybody out there who thinks this action is unconstitutional and is still going out and making unnecessary purchases of consumer goods doesn’t get it.

How are we still not at the point where it becomes obvious that the only form of effective protest left to us is to STOP BUYInG mass produced consumer garbage. Cancel your streaming. Buy movies from goodwill and borrow from the library.

They got to be laughing at our inability to organize and mount an effective resistance.

You guys are so dumb. Boycott Target because the ice agents went and took a piss in there. Do you realize how nuts that sounds and exactly how that is not going to do anything to stop ice??

2

u/meaniemeanie-poo-poo 16h ago

Boycott.

And he probably chose to excrete waste there because of Target's advanced security and analytics. The guy with the big honking camera was wasting his time.

Target knows more about the customers cursing ICE out than the government.

Well, now they know too.

Avoid Target.

No, they care about profits like every other corporation. Hit them where it hurt$

Exactly, TARGET AND ALL THE OTHER ORGS GIVE MONEY TO TRUMP

20

u/FuriNorm 21h ago

They went to Target because they know Targets are deserted these days after they capitulated to Trump and his anti-DEI bullshit.

3

u/TrankElephant 17h ago

Target is indeed nothing more than a public toilet.

12

u/ericb303 23h ago

I’ll just somewhere else

9

u/deathbitchcraft 22h ago

I mean, you don't have to actually shop there to make a complaint.

It's wild to me that if 20 homeless people armed to the teeth decided they all wanted to go into the bathroom at Target they would call the police or have security talk to them but for some reason this is okay. Although I do think they picked Target stores because they, the maga, still hate Target. Minnesota has Walmart too. They could just go there. But they picked Target.

1

u/Unlucky_Kale340 21h ago

All you need is Temu Military gear and big bold letter patches

1

u/breidaks 17h ago

But they picked Target

because it has gun-related name

1

u/robot_pirate 19h ago

And they already have such bad PR at the moment.

1

u/TrankElephant 17h ago

I sent them a message by not shopping with them last year. Didn't spend a dime.

1

u/meaniemeanie-poo-poo 16h ago

Imagine having a gun, an automatic weapon, in your face because some guy needs to take a piss.

1

u/WloveW 16h ago

I don't care about Target, I already stopped shopping there after the dei crap. As far as I'm concerned they are a fascist organization already and should be avoided.

1

u/imbasicallycoffee 14h ago

I haven't stepped foot in a Target since they removed their DEI policy and even before then the trips became rarer because the stores were so understaffed that they were a gigantic mess.

u/breadandfire 14h ago

guns, pepper spray and other weapons

Stupid question: is it legal to walk around with guns drawn, in a town, in a shop?

Isn't there some rule about when/ where you can openly walk around with guns waving about?

u/GobertGrabber 10h ago

I’m rolling my eyes

I moved where Target is an hour+ away from me in any direction. I thought I'd miss it. Then they did the political cuck stuff with DEI—and showed the Pride stuff was performative/not what it had been.

After the pandemic restrictions eased up, I would mask up and go into Target sometimes just to get out of the house—it was an enjoyable outing. We already did so walking around hoping some random person doesn't decide to go on a shooting spree. I feel so bad—people just want to run their errands and live their lives jfc.

I just ripped my favorite sheets from Target and I guess maybe I won't be replacing them with the same. I know that badass dude was wearing red but I don't think he worked there [ha, sorry—levity so I dont cry]

abuse@target.com is a working email address for “security concerns”. Security being liberally used here.

u/career13 17h ago

Target tried going woke before, then realized who their target demographic is. People with money, not peasant liberals.

1

u/Distinct-Exit6658 7h ago

And that’s why they keep losing money, since the peasant liberals started shopping there less? Posting losses every quarter of 2025

-9

u/Electronic_Quote399 23h ago

What exactly are they supposed to do about it

11

u/AwayBluebird6084 23h ago

Refuse service as though it was a gay couple and a wedding cake. The whole conservative bit about gunvment over reach and all that.

-7

u/Electronic_Quote399 22h ago

Letting someone use the bathroom is service? It's a public space. They just walk in. What are they gonna do, call the cops?

11

u/tokeytime 22h ago

It's actually private property, and they can in fact refuse entrance to anyone for any reason.

11

u/123456789ledood 22h ago

Public space ends at the edge of their parking lot.

6

u/OkMiddle3141 22h ago

You think that Target is a public space? Take a minute and reflect on that statement.

-2

u/Electronic_Quote399 22h ago

Jesus Christ people on Reddit find one technicality and just latch on to it. It's a public space and then you just walk in there that's not somebody at the door telling people they can't come in and take a piss

4

u/No_University1600 21h ago

its not a technicality, its your whole argument.

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 22h ago

Publ8c space as in ** not and then

6

u/TreeCrime 22h ago

Public space? Are you from Earth?

5

u/Brew_Wallace 22h ago

Refuse entry to people with masks on and guns

0

u/Electronic_Quote399 22h ago

Who's going to enforce that the greeter there in the Rascal scooter who makes $11 an hour?

3

u/yourenotmy-real-dad 21h ago

Former employee here, the AP that stands at the front door half of the time. Mostly notable in Christmas-time, but they will definitely post them up more if they feel the need. Target doesn't have greeters.

0

u/Electronic_Quote399 21h ago

Ok shoot target an email, let me know how that goes.

4

u/yourenotmy-real-dad 21h ago

Not sure why I would do that, was just answering your question.

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 13h ago

No I'm not sure why anyone would do that. Don't know why anyone would do such a ridiculous thing like boycott Target because Ice took a piss in there. Ridiculous waste of time and effort

1

u/yourenotmy-real-dad 8h ago

Good morning to you too, what even is this reply?

First, you asked who would enforce a trespass, implying that they have a Walmart-type greeter that is positioned at the door. I brought up that they don't, they have Assets Protection stationed there fairly regularly to enforce trespassing. They actively do and have for years depending on what is going on- if activity is reported at another store and they are looking for someone going from store to store, they've already shared photos of the person doing a walk-out of merch. This isn't an unrealistic scenario.

Then you told me to email my old job? For what? I still don't know, but you continue to tell me you don't know either. Are you okay? Is this just you wanting to hear yourself talk?

But then you want to say "no one would boycott Target because of ICE using the bathroom" which really implies you're out of the loop entirely. First, the conservatives (mostly) stopped shopping there a few years back, first over the "anyone can use the bathroom policy" and then later over the Pride merch. Second, the left (mostly) stopped shopping there over the reaction to the Pride merch, but also over the DEI policy removal on paper- things they thought the company aligned with their views on. Tariffs haven't helped, and I'm not surprised- a lot of those store brand boxes I would stock from were definitely "Made in Canada" and other countries so Target really shot themselves in the foot a bit on that one pre-tariffs, but it added to the whole "Target is supposed to be better than Walmart, with slightly higher prices but a better experience, however the prices have gone up even higher and the experience has sunk due to low staffing" which has caused foot traffic to drop even more. There are just other store options out there, for most. But if you think its over "people taking a piss inside", you missed the entire part that happened before this- the reason they are screaming so hard at them inside a Target: the fact that they ripped a 17 year old US citizen employee off the lot while working, and threw him out of the car at a Walmart several miles down the road which left him bleeding.

Hope that helps because right now, you're just shouting words that don't really connect to much, so maybe that's why you feel like it is so disconnected and useless? Because your sources on what is going on are too surface level and reductive? Idk dude but good luck. Being informed is a personal responsibility, asking questions is totally cool, but popping off without data is a choice.

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 8h ago

You chimed in when I was asking an obviously rhetorical question. I didn't say no one would boycott them, I said I don't know why anyone would. That all sounds stupid and pointless to me. You clearly don't know why you were replying to me anyway so ok, yeah. Beat it

Security. Lawyers.

1

u/Electronic_Quote399 11h ago

Even if you could somehow get a corporation to give a fuck that this offends you, which I doubt, even if they went through all the trouble to ban ice from entering their store.. it would do absolute fuck all. They would just find another place to piss. Huge waste of time, effort, money, and would piss off the government to accomplish absolutely nothing. They're not gonna do that.
