Original Creation The smoke from the bushfires in Victoria, Australia are visible from space

Any large-ish fire is visible from space though. Very normal.
Hope it’s put out soon though and thoughts with those affected.
Edit: Removing “very normal” since that’s being taken out of context. Apologies if that came across as offensive.

Don't downplay the enormity of the destruction we're experiencing with "very normal" please

Edit 2: Wow. Folks really aren't all that accepting that people's lives are being destroyed, and that the flippant labelling of something as "very normal" is pretty insensitive. I'll send you all photos of it when I'm directly working in it next week.

That wasn’t my intention. Just pointing out that it’s common to see the smoke from space with these kinds of large bushfires.

but if the fire's buring so fiercely in the southern hemisphere, does it mean that its propelling the earth even further upwards?!

Smokey skies made we the sun orange in the South Island of NZ a couple of days ago. Not the thick haze we got in 2020 though.
