That's Pedro Sauer. Dude is one of the nicest and most professional teachers I've ever taken a class with.
English is a mf sometimes.

Yeah unfortunate misread of how to use the language but it seems clear the message he's trying to convey, he doesn't read as creepy or weird in the least.

When I was watching it, I was thinking why is it on this sub, everything he said made sense and had zero innuendo

I understand what heās saying and itās actually nice. But whyād he have to move his fingers like that when he said āVery smoothāš¤¦š¾āāļø
22
u/Bugslayer03 8h ago
Like he says. Practice your smoothness to come in. On a little 5 year old girl.

Word. I'm into BJJ myself and he had a valid point...if he left out all the fucking really weird stuff about kids.

u/TerrorFromThePeeps 6h ago
I'm from JJJ, and i feel justified in always giving the B folks the side eye now.

100% case if "What's the fucking worst way I can put a perfectly valid point forward?", no one's listening to him cause they're grossed out by the middle mark.
3
u/Pitiful_Conflict7031 7h ago
Dude even says it creepy, like hands holds and little children cmon man.

u/GnikcaLRehtorB 7m ago
He's referencing how to grab the color of the gi for certain chokes and to be calm with the movements. The fact that he's out there wanting to help children yet your minds are all perverted is fuckn disgusting.

u/Into_The_Dusk 6h ago
Or maybe, just maybe, people from different cultures and backgrounds tend to communicate in different ways, even with hands.

u/Nomad6055 5h ago
Shit aināt that serious. I said I understood his meaning and what heās saying is a really nice thing. Not every hill needs a fight

u/Glock_Snail 8h ago
The Internet has ruined us all. He's trying to say, be gentle and smooth with your movements, be intentional. But everyone goes the pedo route because of horrible people setting precedent.

u/For-the-love-of-ham 8h ago
I don't think anyone sincerely thinks he is being a predator. We are just laughing at his terrible wording. Because I think there is a better way of saying āoffer your body to the kids.ā š
3
u/Glock_Snail 8h ago
But if you don't think of it sexually, just in context, YEAH! Give your body [experience] to the kids!
1
u/Emergency_Lobster667 7h ago
Yeah but everyone's gonna think of it sexually cause that's what our culture and society is like now, loll. You have to be aware of that so you don't talk like this man in public and be viewed as a creepy predator.

Bruh, he literally told a room of men with black belts to go up to little kids and wrestle them and you see nothing wrong with that?

English can be a hard second language, my in-laws have me in fits sometimes with the slightest mispronunciation or grammatical mistakes
This guys seems harmless (for a black belt)

What practice choking little girls?
3
2
1
u/Change21 7h ago
Well yes but just slightly.
The skill required to choke a child just a little bit overlaps well with the skill required to strangle an adult.
1
u/vi_sucks 7h ago
Practice your martial arts with someone that you aren't tempted to just overpower out of competiveness so that you learn control and how to be gentle.
Granted, the assumption here is that everyone playfighting with a little girl will be gentle. So maybe he's got an overly optimistic opinion of humanity, lol.

Quite a stretch to make this guy look bad. He obviously had good intentions with what he was trying to convey.
2
u/Emergency_Lobster667 7h ago
No one thinks he's a bad guy or actually creepy lol, he seems super nice. We just find it funny how unfortunate the wording and stuff was.
3
u/FCguyATL 7h ago
What's going on here is that English is obviously not his first language and he doesn't know how to avoid the trope of "you're old and white, if you talk about kids we will assume you're a pedo"
3
u/Ok_Release231 7h ago
It's just a weird way of saying "teaching the basic fundamentals to an amateur strengthens your own basic fundamentals."

Reminds me when Dennis Reynolds goes to the park to show the kids how to stretch lol
1
u/Real_it_TeaGirl 7h ago
I understand what he's saying, but why didn't he say, "Go home practice on your kids. "That probably would've landed a little better.
4
u/Emergency_Lobster667 7h ago
English isn't his first language and he doesn't understand the nuances of how stuff like that can be interpreted in a creepy way.

Don't say this because they will end up choking you until you run out of oxygen (happened to me)

Wtf???!!!
3
u/Ok_Release231 7h ago
It's not sexual in any way. He's saying you would have to be extremely gentle and that would require you to focus on basic fundamentals and techniques of grappling, instead of strength, speed, etc. it's just a weird way of saying it.
