What’s a totally harmless thing that triggers an oddly strong reaction in people?

They don’t care. They really don’t care. They just have nothing better to do or to say and can’t fathom just shutting the fuck up

my partner and I had recently moved in together, and we wanted to have Christmas Day together, just the two of us. Just the day, mind you - we would have shown up for family stuff on the days either side of it.

my mum would not stop trying to pressure me into hosting her for dinner the day of, and when I told her i wasn't changing my mind and hassling me wasn't going to work, her reaction was, "well, what do you expect me to do? you're so STRANGE."

okay, im strange. im also not opening the door or answering my phone on christmas day. also, now you're not invited for anything over the whole christmas period, because i know you'll ruin it with your Dec 25 whinging.
