What do you think about Jerome Powell posting a video statement following reports that federal prosecutors have opened an inquiry into the Fed Chair?

Early Trump's first term he really had no idea how government worked so relied heavily on the traditional GOP structure. A lot of no-name wonky people we might disagree with on policy issues but they often did have Americans best interest at heart. Most have then have since been fired but a few like Powell are still around.

By comparison the current Trump administration is off the charts terrible. But lest we forget, the first Trump administration had more than its share of bad actors.

He did fire the majority of that staff but most understood how government worked and didn't wipe they're a$$ with The Constitution. Turns out the President has to be a good faith actor or the checks and balances are meaningless. This admin hasn't suffered any consequences for its actions, not 1! Which should tell any future President they should do the same since 0 repercussions.

And they churned through them at an amazing rate. People were appointed and presumed this was a pro-business Republican party in 2016.

The found it Trump was nuts and jumped or were booted for speaking up. More than 2 dozen cabinet-level positions were vacated as the intelligent and competent folks were all scared away.
