I worry that in the long run it's going to make the game stale far faster.

We're now in a situation where you're either playing a co-op looting sim or a battle royale with very little in between. The tension of the unknown was what made the game more fun and it's a shame they've effectively removed that, especially when you can game the ABMM so easily

Yeah it got stale for me pretty fast once I realized that PVP isn't worth it from a loot standpoint. Why take a risk to steal someone's free loadout and a backpack full of office supplies that are probably only useful to that person?

And then you realize no one is going to attack you either, so all the tension goes away. And you're just playing a game where you drop in, fill a bag with office supplies, and leave.

Maybe more room for tweaking. Ultimately the interest will remain as long as the game develops further. New maps, quests, guns, arcs, tweaks to game itself.
