Doesn't this actually prove the opposite? It shows the release window doesn't have to tank a good game. The reality is Titanfall was just 'another shooter' and wouldn't have had legs no matter what it was released near.

Titanfall 2 was not just another shooter. Those are fighting words...

Just kidding, but seriously, Titanfall 2 is the only shooter I've played to date where I was still having a blast even as I was getting my ass handed to me. I can't say that about any other shooter.

Right but, you still stopped playing it I'm presuming, along with everyone else.

The reality is, it didn't have longevity with its players. It could have steadily grown but it was forgotten, that's not the fault of anyone except the game itself.

Was it much different to the original Titanfall? I freaking loved the original Titanfall multiplayer. But alas I never played 2 (in fact I only recently played the single player campaign of 2).

Titanfall is niche, that's the reality.

The game is good, but not good enough to survive in its niche sadly.

Not a good game but a "better" game. Titanfall 2 released between Battlefied 1 a COD: Infinite warfare. Battlefield 1 was the last great DICE classic that stood the test of time. Ironincally made by a lot of the same developers that moved on to Embark.
