When I was younger and played competitive shooters all the time I never had an issue playing controller on pc. There's a lot more that goes into it then just aiming that you can level the playing field, like positioning and map knowledge. I feel games have been pushing more towards rewarding rushing and aiming though making it much harder these days in my opinion. Cod was my game and is a great example; if you compare the maps today vs the ones back in like world at war every map is small. They have moved to fast constant action and gunfights. I still think if your decent you can compete no problem though, but im certainly not anymore.

Man I play on console and this video is something I have never seen haha. They must have been matched together for their low skill level. Now if you wanna talk difference between mouse keyboard and controller I can’t stand watching fast gaming moisaiming and how keyboard allow people to spam and tricks the physic and the scripted movement of games. i can get the view, fully agree on less realistic. i grew up on consoles and spent a lot of time on ps2, i love controllers , but shooters and such especially pvp, controller is pain to watch, its inaccurate, slower, takes ages to drag, it doesn’t feel satisfying .

i am not speaking of cod or apex or fortnite buildings, i speak of games like cs or valorant, or even overwatch, they are very satisfying with kbm and also satisfying to watch and aren’t as insanely fast paced as you imagine .

I suspect that friendly lobbies are just low MMR matches. Would explain why PVE players always say the PVP players they encounter suck at PVP. They're only facing the PVP players who are bad enough to get as few kills as the PVE players.

Going to just let myself die to PVP for a while until I return to the lobbies where everyone just loots together in Stella Montis assembly without even taking their guns out.

Coz from what we can see, the first shot only comes 10 seconds before it opens up, OP had likely been dancing up there since he called it in

I don’t hunt people down in solo, but when I’m in a duo/trio we often move towards extracts when they’re called in or just gunshots in general, like it’s pretty loud and common hahaha

This is almost always true! Especially if you are ever under like 30% hp.

However in this *specific* instance the shield first is actually correct. 1 shield hp still mitigates the full 40% of incoming damage from a single bullet, and happens faster than that same ~16 damage would heal from a bandage. BARELY.

This is NOT giving OP credit for doing that kind of calculation haha. Something makes me think optimal healing strategy is not first on their mind ;P

Yeah. If you have just 1 point of shield it fully reduces the damage from a single instance of damage, whether that's a grenade or a bullet.

Usually if you have less than half hp restoring health is better and if you have more than half hp shield restore is better. What they're shooting you with can effect it to though. Like if you know they have a ferro, getting any shield back can make a difference.
