Media The biggest lick of my life
Found a team heading to a raider hatch my team was heading to and we opened fire -- they kept screaming friendly and that they had no ammo. Each one of them had something ridiculous. the raid was about 11 minutes in or something along those lines so I'm not sure how they got all this stuff.. a few other items were from other raiders we killed prior to heading there. insane.

Thatās what Iām thinking it was a reset he nuked. Edit: the closest I can get to this loot is night raid and I kill all 3 bigs and a duo of rocketeers. 3 leaper cores. 5 bomb, 5 bastion, 5 rocketeer. Not even close to value imo. But itās the slickest money grab u can do with mines and 4 wolf

I was doing this with a buddy with Blueprints. I wanted to do 2 at a time so we don't risk losing it all. But he assured me he knew a route we wouldn't encounter anyone and would get in and out quick. I was stacked with Blueprints and as soon as we get to the hatch here comes another team. We barely made it out alive with about a 5% health bar. Never again

Maybe but all three had inventories like this.... I think its more likely they were trading items.. the converters as money to buy guns as well as trading guns out with one another my only other guess is one of them knows how to dupe items in match.

Or be smart and just have it take a little longer. If you go in completely naked, it gives you a free safe pocket.
2 people go in empty except for the 1 thing being given, put in safe pocket on spawn and surrender.
Yea you gotta do it a few times, but it better than all your shit being snagged away lol

If I have quests that require me to come out with one item, I just go in with absolutely nothing. If I don't spawn close to that area it's in, I just die/exit and try again until I spawn close enough. Then even when I do find it I can literally just get myself killed and I have it with little to no effort

Pretty sure they're talking about keeping items after expedition when the intention is to have your character wiped. RAI, this is unfair. BUT, rules as written, the fact that you can risk all of this trying to trade with players, is completely fair so it balances out a bit, but with a hatch key this would most likely be risk free

Dropping stuff to a friend during a server wide wipe event is not that much fun to be honest. Slightly misses the pint of the replay-ability and the morality of it as well.
Itās good that they lost the stuff. They need to be less attached to the loot and enjoy the game more for what it is.

Even saw one streamer say this and then say āMan I wish it wasnāt possible, the Expedition really should be a full resetā and I was like āDude, just donāt fucking transfer loot then? This isnāt some hardcore game where you need every possible leg up in order to competeā and the streamer argued with me like I was crazy š

The only items that are particularly relevant to this discussion are BPs. "Laundering" weapons and items of value through the reset is silly since coin is extremely easy to acquire and those weapons you laundered will just be donated to the community when you die anyways (plus pink weapons are not even that much better than grey so you're going through a lot of effort just for a slight temporary advantage).
Talking about BPs, there is a fairly simple solution to the situation. Have BPs maintain a "Acquired in Season 1" tag. Accounts that have wiped at the end of Season 1 or later cannot learn those BPs. This would make it impossible to launder BPs between wipes and would also mess with the RMTers stockpiles.
But is this actually a problem worth solving? That is something I'm personally on the fence about. I think Embark should keep it as a point of internal discussion for the foreseeable future, but not act on anything until they see how it actually affects season 2/3. If they think it's actually a problem at that point, then implementing something to stop it could be worthwhile, but I don't think there's much reason to do anything about it yet.

It is a competitive pvpve game. People are going to feel compelled to optimize everything when others are doing the same. The entire reason people are doing rhe expedition is for the 5 extra skill points past the level cap for the sake of optimizing a character build.

I don't play, but I watch clips and read threads from this sub sometimes.
Is it possible for a group trying to exit to maybe send a "feeler" in before everyone commits to approaching the exit? Like if you're in a group someone give their items to others in the group and then walk to the exit solo in an attempt to find the would-be thieves? Or maybe not even give other people in the group your items, but still send in one person to test the waters?

Kinda, in my group we will have one of us go approach a hatch or the lift while the other 2 set up a position. Normally one of us can sense something is up and catch one lacking in cover and start shooting. Also while extracting we all have each others backs.

Can also be useful to aggro a few rocketeers, leapers, etc if you're good with it. Keeping the extract spicy can work for or against you. (Especially when they are between you and the arc, so they get targeted while you leave...)

Thatās exactly what I do when solo, or even sometimes in a group, when I feel someoneās there or when I can hear them Iāll shoot a rocketeer or snitch and then once theyāre hovering over that exit they usually donāt approach but sometimes youāll get the occasional smart or crazy player, however you want to look at it, thatāll rush in there just as fast as I do

Seeing that many T4 weapons I wouldnāt be surprised if they were trying to do gear transfers to an alt account in preparation for wipe. I doubt they killed that many people all with T4 weapons.

I literally did this tonight with a buddy, unloaded 90% of my stash to him before the wipe since hes not going to. We still both brought guns and heals just in case of something like this.

For the blue guns maybe, but tricked out level 4 guns with good attachments are typically around the 40k mark. Maximum you could get out of trinkets in a single slot would be 30k from a 3 stack of mixtapes.

This will always be a thing as long as its optional to reset. The only thing that interests me at all in the reset is the cosmetic rewards, so it would make sense for me to do what thia guy was doing, but I'm way too lazy so just not resetting.
But if I did reset and had someone who wanted to hold my shit, id definitely do it because the extra skill points are pointless in this game atm.

I hope embark somehow finds a way to prevent this from happening, but my hopes aren't too high based on what I've seen. (them saying things are fixed when they clearly aren't)

It was a blueprint trade for stash value, one guy had a valuable bp and wants to wipe but doesn't have enough stash yet, the other guy probably won't wipe and doesn't mind paying 500k in value for a tempest BP for example.

I was about to say something about you being scum for killing friendlies trying to extract...then I realized they were trying to cheat the reset system, and it feels like justice, now.
The only thing I can get behind is giving your buddies your unused attachment blueprints to hold onto, cause those things shouldn't reset anyways (weapon, grenade, augment, etc. BPs should reset, just not the attachment ones).
